Luke’s Bio

Luke P Travis has over 20 years experience assisting clients in all aspects of real estate law, estate planning and elder law, and estate administration and probate law. His real estate clients range from private homeowners to commercial developers. He has represented clients in all aspects of land use permitting, including appearing before local Zoning Boards of Appeals, Planning Boards and Conservation Commissions, as well as representing clients before state agencies and the Probate, Housing, Land Courts. He has also represented individuals and their families in all aspects of Estate Planning, with an emphasis on Elder Law, including the preparation and filing of MassHealth applications to qualify clients for MassHealth benefits and representing clients in appeals of denials of MassHealth benefits. He also represents clients in the probate and administration of estates, as well as Guardianship and Conservatorship petitions in the Probate Court.

In 1985, Luke received his Bachelor’s Degree and a Commission as an Officer in the United States Navy and a Merchant Marine Third Officer License (Unlimited Tonnage) from the United States Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, New York.  He was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar and received his JD in 1989 from New England School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts.

Luke is a Director and Past President of Bristol Community College Foundation, Director and Past President of Bristol County Estate Planning Council, Member and Past President of Rehoboth Business Association, Director of North Attleboro Plainville Rotary, Director of Cooperative Productions, Member of Real Estate Bar Association of Massachusetts, Fall River Bar Association, National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, United Chamber of Commerce, Corporator of Bristol County Savings Bank and Member of Plainville Redevelopment Authority.

Luke resides in Plainville, Massachusetts with his wife Debra and children, Sarah and Ian.
